Making a Splash for Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer among women, just behind skin cancer. Nearly 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point in their lives. However, thanks in part to early detection and improvements in treatment, millions of women are surviving the disease.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which presents an excellent opportunity to share the steps women can take to detect breast cancer in its early stages and the importance of doing so. Although most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take action in preventing it and encouraging others to do the same.

That is why Nekdoodle® is taking an initiative this month to raise breast cancer awareness and making a commitment to support efforts in finding a cure. For each Solid Hot Pink Nekdoodle® sold on our website, 10% of the sale will benefit the Susan G. Komen® organization.

Susan G. Komen® is one of the most trusted non-profit organizations in America, specifically intended to save lives and put an end to breast cancer forever by addressing the disease on multiple fronts. Since 1982, the organization has carried out its mission by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. Last year alone, Susan G. Komen’s community grants provided financial and social support for over 50,000 families impacted by breast cancer.

We invite you to partake in this proactive and inspirational experience by helping us support the Susan G. Komen® organization through your purchase of a Hot Pink Nekdoodle®. Get yours online at http://nekdoodle.com/hot-pink-nekdoodle/ today and spread the awareness!
